I thought it would be like some kind of "awkward moment" in the car, but it was far away from anything like that!
He asked a lot of questions, felt like he was eager to know what I've been up to since last time. He also apologized for not really recognizing me at the party, but that he thought I looked familiar.
He even dared to ask me if I had someone special!!! *chocked*
I told him that I'm all free!!! - Maybe I kind of sounded "desperate", but I know that guys don't like girls who play hard to get, that confuses them. - Guys are simple creatures, we girls are the ones who makes everything so complicated!!!
He made a quick stop at the 24-hour store, then he drove me straight home.
I was surprised that he even got out of his car to walk me to the door!
So sweet... He really is charming...
"There's a party on Saturday, I was wondering... if you would wanna go? You can bring a friend, or two? It's not a big party like the last one... it's pretty small. Me, Daryn and some close friends, you probably know this girl Sarah?"
"You can count me in!", I said - Okay, I have to admit, THAT was desperate!
"Well, allright. I see you on Saturday!", he said it with the cutest smile, and gave me a hug that (felt like it) lasted forever! Then he walked back to his car and drove away.
I can not believe it!!!
I was hoping for a kiss, but I have to agree, I rather wait, I want it to be perfect!
But anyway, I was wondering, is Derek really into me, or is it just me and my imagination?
Because, isn't it strange? He just broke up with his girlfriend, who he found out, was cheating on him!!!
The last thing on my mind would be hooking-up with someone?!
But anyway, who can resist me? It's just a matter of time...
I called Danielle and told the happy news. She could not believe me!
I asked her if she wanted to come to this party he invited me to. Of course it was a stupid question! 'Cause she screamed 'Yes' without hesitation when I told her Daryn would be there. But when I told her Sarah's going to be there... her tone changed drasticly.
To shortly inform you who the hell Sarah is:
Sarah and Danielle were best friends untill she, behind Danielle's back, went on and hooked-up with Lucas (Danielles former crush) behind her back. Sarah totally knew about the crush, and just because of a stupid argument about not giving back a borrowed skirt, Sarah had to revenge somehow, and she did it in the crulest way.
But it didn't stop there...
Danielle got really upset, she filmed Sarah while getting undressed in the lockerroom, and posted it on You Tube.
You can probably imagine the rest... End of Story
"I don't know? In this case I actually rather stay home..."
"I never thought of you being such a pussy... It happened a long, looong time ago, she probably don't remeber it any more!"
"Denise, they still call her 'stripper'? She gets reminded of that everyday! And it's been about six months since I posted that video on the internet!"
"Well, I'm sorry for being optimistic! What do you want me to say?"
"Can't you just go to the party alone, I will only be in the way anyway, and Daryn still has a..."
"...Girlfiend? I know, I get it! Okay, you probably right, 'cause I get the feeling that this will be a night I will never forget, and you're not in it - no hard feelings!"
"No, I understand. Just don't forget to tell me ALL the details when you get back from the party! Promise?"
"Haha, I promise!"
I found this cute pink little skirt, not too short, and put on a black funny t-shirt with a print that said, "I'm With Stupid And Stupid's With Me". And I'm on my way to Mimi's house!
I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous, it's been some time, what will we talk about? And what if I accidentally spill out, "Hey, by the way I've had this huge crush on your brother, do you think you can hook us up somehow?", that would be scary! And I wonder if Derek will be in the house now that he broke up with his girlfriend? 'Cause think if he didn't!
How would that look like? She would probably be in his house, in the bedroom, doing something - I don't want to know - and I would be sitting down stairs with Mimi talking about "lost times", while Derek and Cassie would be cuddling, and I wouldn't concentrate, I would have a nervous breakdown - now that would be embarrassing! - and I would start screaming, next thing you now Derek and Cassie comes running down the stairs, and when they see me they would either laugh or just look funny at me - which ones worse? - and Cassie would probably tell this to everyone at school, and I would be the laughing stock and my whole world would go under. (Wow, that's a long sentence!)
But in this case, I'm safe. No Cassie, no nervous breakdowns, no laughs, just me, Mimi and Derek, just like old times...
But yeah, if only "old times" would start someday!
I stood at the door (something that felt like forever) and my index finger just wouldn't press the doorbell. So I tried pressing it with my thumb - it did not want to listen either! Tried my middle finger, my ring finger, and even my pinky! But nothing seemed to work? My index finger had to much power over my hand... So I just stood there, waiting for someone to open the door.
And the neighbors must've really wondered, because I probably stood there for 15 or even 30 minutes or so, until someone actually opened the door - I believe it was a neighbor who called? (How embarrassing actually?)
Mimi opened the door, and asked me what took me so long.
And I had my chance to work up a good lie, but the neighbors hunted me, they would probably tell someone, "I saw a strange little girl standing in front of the Mahon's door for over 30 minutes!", and then I would be busted!
So I told her that I couldn't ring the doorbell because of my resent, but light, disorder OCD - and she bought it!
Derek wasn't home, which made me actually glad, he would surely not buy the lie and just look funny at me, because Mimi is a bit of a bimbo I would say, she would probably even buy my story if I told her that Elf's came and kidnapped me but I managed to break free, and she would be like, "I told you that Elf's exists! You should have listen to me!".
The house hasn't changed that much in two years, maybe Mimi's and Derek's rooms has changed a bit, but so has they.
The good thing was that everything was like old times, there was no awkward moment, "So... what have you been up to?", no, just right the opposite! We talked for hours, and if Derek would walk by (which he didn't) I would probably not even notice him.
Later we sat and watched Sunshine, which was a really creepy movie!
It had only gone 45 minutes of the film when Derek walks in.
I don't now if I want to smack him for making me wait so long (but that would look totally wrong) or kiss him for looking so cute 11 PM(that would also be totally wrong...)! I did neither of that, never had the chance...
He just walked pass the TV, pass us on the couch, HE did NOT even look at ME!
Well, I got tired, and couldn't concentrate on the film, because who in the world cares if your stupid ship will or will not make it to the sun! We got bigger problems! The man of my dreams just walked pass me, without saying a word, he didn't even look at me!!!
So the only way to calm down before Mimi noticed my anger, I did the only best thing, I went home, I told her we would watch the end of the movie some other time.
And just in that moment Derek comes down from his room, but he goes straight to the kitchen...
"We're out on milk, juice, red bull, water and coke, so if you want something to drink you just have to drive to the store and get it!", Mimi said to Derek.
"Milk?! You don't even drink milk, how could it be empty?", Derek asked.
"I used it to make muffins! So you have to drive down to the store if you want something to drink! And while you're at it could you drive Denise home". That's when he first looked at me, and said, "You?!".
I didn't now what to say, so I just said, "I brought you your shirt back!", with a smile.
And he agreed on driving me home and go to the 24 hour store and buy something to drink.
He sat next to her.
Her scars were visible on her arm.
He got fascinated,
he never thought that way about her.
She was always smiling,
laughing,
social,
never did the thought of her cutting herself
crossed his mind.
She sat there,
facing the clock,
no idea that he sat next to her
staring at her arm.
The teacher told everyone to take a five minute break.
Everyone left, including the teacher,
except two, who chose to stay.
He and she.
He reached his right hand
and touched her scars lightly
with his fingertips.
Caressing her arm very softly
until she noticed,
and pulled her arm away.
It was like time stood still
for a moment.
They both looked at each other.
She did not knew this,
but he cared for her.
Always been.
He thought sorry for her,
if there was anything he could do...
He offered his hand.
She looked at it,
before she laid her left hand
in his.
He placed her hand on his chin,
and kissed it gently.
He kissed her scars
and then her collar bone.
He moved his way up her neck,
and then he stoped
by her lips,
without touching them.
She made the move
and kissed him.

Red lipstick
Long wavy hair
Long black eyelashes
Green piercing eyes
Long sleek legs
Curvy
That's my dream woman,
and she's standing just right in front of me.
Too scared to look at her
Too scared to talk to her
But I gotta do it
I walk up to her
I whisper in her ear
She smiles
In that moment she could have just pass me or stay and talk
She did none of the above
She put a note in my pocket

And again, can anyone say "I'm so sorry!" as charming as Derek can?
No, I don't think so...
"It's okay", I lied, because I just bought this white baby doll dress, and let me point it out, it wasn't cheap! But I could never be mad at Derek...
I walked in to the closest bathroom that I could find and tried to get this disgusting thing off, and Derek came after me.
"It's no use trying to get that stuff off, you're lucky that you didn't get anything on your skin. You would be green for two weeks! ...But that color seems to suit you...", I think he was referring to my green eyes, but I'm not sure?
But anyway, was he flirting?!
"If you want, I can lend you my shirt", he had a white tee under, and the shirt had perfect length, so I had no choice but accept it. Because I will not go out there with a white green spotted dress on one side!
And I get some advantage, by borrowing his shirt meant I had to give it back and that meant I get to see him again, and this is the closest I get to come to his smell - his shirt smelled actually really good!
"I know that icky stuff was meant for Ben, I'm sorry if I destroyed your plan".
"No worry, it just hit me, he's not worth it", he looked deep in my eyes, or maybe it was I who was drowning in his green eyes? He continued, "Especially when someone gets green stuff on their dress that probably weren't cheap. Am I right?". I never got to answer that before someone knocked at the door, "Come on I have to pee!!!".
Derek and I stepped out of the bathroom, he told me he had to go and we separated.
Dani borrowed me her belt so the shirt wouldn't look so loose, and we went home.
I think I'm exaggerating a bit, but you tend to do that (a lot) when your in love.
'Cause think about it? Like almost every guy, even the once you don't fancy or the once that don't fancy you, every guy when they talk to you or listen (if they ever do) they look into your eyes. Everyone does it, but guys do it differently!
It's probably my infatuation that tells me Derek is The One.
I've always had a crush on him, well maybe not always...
It just hit me one day, this feeling. Maybe it was just hormones? Well, love is just a bunch of hormones!
Derek has always been cute, but when he became a teen he suddenly became hot!
I was twelve and he thirteen, and that's when our bond grew a bit deeper - we could actually communicate!
Before that, he was just Mimi's annoying big brother. He always teased us and did all kinds of mischiefs just so he could get his way, he acted like he was younger than us.
(But that's also why I like him, he can be so immature but at the same time also be so smart and grownup)
And when I was fourteen my Dad got a job in Toronto, and I had to leave for a year. When I came back Mimi was all different and Derek started make use of his good looks, so he wasn't home a lot. I just became bored and depressed, and then I met Dani, and everything went from black to white again!
I don't know if Derek knew who I was, 'cause it has been about 2 years.
But we'll find out about that tomorrow at Mimi's house.
Well, the big question is, What Will I Wear?!
Dani (Danielle) and I were invited to this huge house party, like, everyone was going to be there!
So we had to go, at least to check it out...
The party was set up by this guy called Ben, and we arrived at the mansion nine o'clock, and pay attention when I say mansion! The house was huge! There was like five toilets and I couldn't find either one of them!
After an hour or so Dani and I, thought about leaving. We thought Derek and Daryn would show up, but no sign of them so far.
Finally when I found one of the five toilets, guess who's in there!
"Oh, did I forget to close? Silly me! Lucky I was just touching up", Mimi stood at the mirror bending her eyelashes, and I thought for myself, now I have a chance to ask about Derek? Because, it wasn't like we weren't friends anymore, Mimi and I. But I'm just a little chocked, what is she doing at a party?
"This is strange, I don't want to be rude, but what are you doing here? I know you don't like partys?", I asked her.
"You right I don't", she paused, "It's just, Derek draged me!". (Derek!!!)
"Uhm, Derek? Is he here? I haven't seen him?".
"It's maybe because his upstairs planning his revenge", she looked at my confused face, "He broke up with Cassie, he found out she was cheating, with Ben!".
She packed her makeup and head straight to the door but stopped, "You know, I miss you. I mean it's been like 2 years? Why don't you come by tomorrow and we can catch up with each other, what do you say?".
"I thought you never asked!", I answered.
When I came out of the bathroom Dani came running, "He's here! He's HERE!", she screamed.
I told her that I allready new and that I met Mimi in the bathroom, and about what Mimi told me about Derek.
Sadly, Daryn hasn't yet broken up with his girlfriend. But Dani knew that she could get him when ever she wanted, but she has her morals and sticks to them, so she's willing to wait until something goes bad in the relationship.
We went to the huge livingroom, where I spot Derek and his friends, including Daryn, sitting in the couch.
I decided I needed some fresh air, 'cause damn it was hot! While Dani started dancing with some guy who wasn't so bad looking.
The mansion had a perfekt view of the sunset.
And as I was turning to go back into the house, someone, or the one, walks right into me and spills... well I don't even wanna know what it was! But I think I blew Dereks plan...
Can a guy look cuter? No, I don't think so...
His piercing green eyes, his smiley, I just love it when he has his shirt off! And it's not just the physical, this guy is also smart! He's good at math, speaks German, Spanish, french FLUENT!
He also speaks a bit Japanese, Chinese and Russian.
And this guy... he really has a gift, he draws beautifully... and he plays like a pro on the piano, also plays the drums and the guitar.
He's funny, considerate, very charming, he is just so perfect!
I don't think you can be more perfect than him?
This guy is my best friend's big brother, he's one year older.
His name is Derek, and I'm absolutely so in love with him!
The problem, well obviously, he's my best friends brother, and he already has a girlfriend.
And I've known him since I was like 8, and if he didn't notice me then, why would he now?
My best friends name is Mimi, I've also known her since I was 8.
She doesn't now about my crush on her brother... wait did I say "crush"? It's so much more than that!
I would call it love, but people would tell different, I'm only 16.
Mimi and I met in school, I was new, she came up to me first and asked if I wanted to play.
Since then we've been like sisters, apart from now. I think we have grew apart a bit.
I like going out meet new people and she likes to sit in and study about historic people.
A new girl, Danielle, began my class, I'm now days more with her, we're like sisters, literally, we almost look the same except she's taller and has more that "model"-look, other than that we both are like twins.
We like the same thing, interests, music, even the same guys! But she knows about my crush. And she has also a crush, on Derek's best friend Daryn.
Just as the two teenagers as we are, we've planned the whole story...
We seriously made a scrapbook of how it would be like if we all four got together!
It was my idea, and it was only for fun.
Both guys have girlfriends, and now when I don't see Mimi that much, I don't get to see Derek either...
